Clay Center resident, Rebecca Ann Peterson, 73, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

A private graveside service will be held at the Clay Center Cemetery in Clay Center. In honoring her wishes, there will not be a visitation or viewing.

Rebecca was born March 2, 1952, to Ervin and Theresa (Klimek) Danelke in Parkers Prairie, MN.

She is survived by her son, Tim (Mitzi) Messenger of Harvard, and their children, Dawson (Becca) and Grace (Chase); daughter, Leah (Wade) Clang of Clay Center, and their children, Alayna, Paige and Camille; son, James (Chris) Messenger of Sutton, and their children, Garrett (Jordane), Makayla, and great-grandchild, Huntley; son, Brent Peterson of Lake Perry, KS, and his children, Haley, Willow and Owen; and son, Quentin (Harmony) Peterson of Andover, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Paulette Pueringer.
