James Lee Randall, 70, of Kenesaw, passed away on Nov. 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
James was born Aug. 24, 1955, in Norfolk, to Elmer and Leona (Blevins) Randall. He attended Norfolk Public Schools where he excelled in competitive swimming and weightlifting.
At the young age of 16, James began his career in the masonry industry as a bricklayer. Over the years, he contributed to many notable projects, including the Church of the Plains in Edgar, Sandy Creek High School in Fairfield, and the original mall in Grand Island. Later, he earned his GED and attended Central Community College, where he received his degree in auto mechanics. On Feb. 10, 1977, James married the love of his life, Janell “Sue” Randall. The two shared 48 years of marriage before James passed. They also had two beautiful children, Jaime and Josh. They resided in Edgar for more than 36 years.
James is survived by his wife, Janell “Sue” Randall of Kenesaw; daughter, Jaime (Chris) Sills of Omaha; son, Josh (Jodi) Randall of Kenesaw. He was a proud grandfather to Jacobi (Kelsey) Schliep, and Joseph Schliep, both of Omaha, and Austin, Lilly, and Carter Randall of Kenesaw. He also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Kollyns Schliep, and many extended family members.
James is also survived by his siblings, Bev (Mike) Blank, Donna Randall, and Tim Randall, all of Norfolk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Leona Randall; and his sister, Tammy Randall.
James will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and devotion to his family.
