Sutton resident Janice Ruth Zimlich, 83, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at the Sutton Community Home in Sutton.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at Hope Reformed Church in Sutton, with Pastor Scott Henry presiding.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, from 1-7:00 p.m., with family present from 5-7 p.m., at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton. Graveside services will be held following the funeral service at the Sutton Cemetery in Sutton. Memorials are to be directed to Sutton Christian School or Sutton Community Home. Condolences may be left at www. suttonmemorial.com. Janice Ruth Zimlich was born Decl 31, 1941, in Oskaloosa, IA, to Albert and Lisetta (Nuss) Nuss. She received her education at Columbus High School and furthered her education at Columbus Beauty School. On Feb. 13, 1977, she married Joseph L. Zimlich, Jr., in Las Vegas, NV. She was employed as a cosmetologist and later as a kitchen aid at the Sutton Community Home.

Janice loved music, taking bus tours with her friends and spending time at gatherings with her cousins.

She is survived by her son, James (Lori) DeLarm of Sutton; daughters, Lori (Jim) Boyer of Sutton, and JoAnn (Kent) Carlson of Saronville; grandchildren, Kelsey (Brent) Drake, Kevin Zimlich, Kayla (Jon) Roth, Tiffanni DeLarm, Blake (Taylor) DeLarm, Alex (Taelor) DeLarm, Austin (Sam) Carlson, Aaron (Ceirra) Carlson, Adam (Sophie) Carlson, Anton (Taylor) Carlson, Brian (Norma) Zimlich, David (Jess) Zimlich, and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lisetta Nuss, and her husband, Joseph L. Zimlich, Jr.
