Janis K. Peter, 87, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2026. She was born July 6, 1938, in Sutton to William and Emma (Steinhauer) Peter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Warren and Tom Peter; and nephews, David and Bradley Peter.

Janis is survived by her nephew, Gregory (Sandra Holmes) Peter of Chelsea, MI; niece, Kathleen (Jimi) Young of Wichita, KS; and extended family and friends.

Visitation was Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services in Wichita, KS. Funeral service was at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6 at Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita. Graveside service took place at the Sutton Cemetery on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, in Sutton.
