Grafton resident David S. Stuckey, 68, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the Henderson Health Care Hospital in Henderson. Memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton with Pastor Arick Johanson officiating. The family requests casual attire be worn to the service. A time of fellowship will follow the services at the Grafton Community Center in Grafton. In honoring his wish to be cremated, there will not be a visitation or viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department or the Grafton Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Condolences may be left at www.suttonmemorial.com. David was born Aug. 7, 1957, in Hebron, to Dean and Eunice (Chudamelka) Stuckey. He received his education at Geneva High School and furthered his education for two years at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. On July 18, 1981, he married Barbara Reutzel in Geneva. David was a self-employed truck driver and was also employed with George Bros., Inc and Biegert Feeds.
Dave enjoyed the outdoors, riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. He was always looking to fix something, working on vehicles and always looking to the next challenge. Dave was known to raise a large garden, which always included lots of sweet corn.
He was a member of the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department for 44 years and was an EMT on the Grafton Volunteer Rescue Squad for 13 years.
David is survived by his wife, Barbara Stuckey of Grafton; sons, Ryan Stuckey of Grafton and Dylan Stuckey of Omaha; brothers, Allan Stuckey of Grafton, Jim Stuckey of Michigan, and Kevin Stuckey of Grafton; numerous cousins, extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Eunice Stuckey; and his mother and father-in-law, Carrol and Pat Reutzel.
