Carolyn Kay Shuck, 83, of Edgar, entered into eternal rest April 19, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Carolyn was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Orleans, to Orville and Alta (Patterson) Kinnaman. Carolyn and her family moved to Edgar her sophomore year of high school. She graduated from Edgar High School in 1960 and, that same year in June, was united in marriage to Gary Shuck at the Edgar Methodist Church. To this union, three sons were born: Terry, Scott, and Troy. After moving from Naponee to Edgar, Carolyn made Edgar her lifelong home, where she built a life centered around family, faith, and service to others. She was a devoted homemaker and a true partner on the farm, capable of handling any task that needed done. Carolyn was known for her strong work ethic, whether driving farm equipment or preparing and delivering countless meals to the fields, she was always there to lend a helping hand when needed.

Carolyn had a special love for children and found great joy in babysitting—especially her grandchildren—who were among her greatest blessings. Carolyn also served for many years as an assistant to Williams Funeral Home, where her kindness and compassion touched many families during difficult times.

Carolyn never knew a stranger. She was friendly and welcoming to all, yet always honest and straightforward—telling it like it was. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and living out her deep and unwavering faith, which remained a guiding force throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Alta Kinnaman and husband, Gary Shuck.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Terry (Jodi) Shuck of Hastings, Scott Shuck of Ong, and Troy (Trish) Shuck of Lincoln; brother, Kent (JoDe) Kinnaman of Edgar; grandchildren, Kendra (Forrest) Weichman, Kelli (Jared) Hodgson, Derek (Erin) Shuck, Trenton (Kassy) Shuck, Morgan (Brent) Wells, Carli (JD) Horst; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Williams & Kuehn Funeral Home in Edgar. Funeral Services were Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Church of the Plains in Edgar.
