Wrenda Searle

June 12, 1964 - April 14, 2026

Wrenda Jane Searle, 61, of Murrieta, CA, passed away April 14, 2026.

Wrenda was born June 12, 1964, in Hastings to Ted Edward and Mary Ann Searle of Harvard. She graduated from Harvard High School in 1982, where she was a cheerleader, a lifeguard at the local swimming pool, and gave private swimming lessons. A dedicated student, Wrenda graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Following high school, she attended the University of Nebraska– Lincoln before continuing her education at Lincoln School of Commerce, where she trained as a stenographer and court reporter. She held various jobs in Grand Island before moving to California in 1988.

California was a natural fit for Wrenda, whose first love was always the beach. She cherished the ocean—the wind, the salt air, and the sense of freedom it brought her. As a young woman, she loved roller skating, especially along the beach side sidewalks, with the ocean breeze weaving through her long hair.

Wrenda also had a deep love for sewing. She was incredibly talented and took great pride in creating her own clothing, as well as sewing curtains and other pieces for her home. She had an entire room dedicated to fabric and sewing, where she brought her creativity to life through her many unique and beautiful creations.

Wrenda’s kindness also reached across the globe when she hosted a foreign exchange student from Germany, Andi, in 1999. She took great pride in sharing American traditions with him, taking him back to her roots in Harvard for a Nebraska Christmas and on a vacation to Hawaii to experience the beauty of the islands.

While in California, Wrenda worked for many years at Bertlemann’s Printing Company, where she built meaningful connections, including a lasting friendship with her roommate, Harry Taylor. When the printing industry changed, and the company downsized, Wrenda faced that transition with quiet resilience. In her final days, Harry provided her with compassionate care and support.

Wrenda is survived by her mother, Mary Ann, of Hastings; brother, Jason (Brenda) of Edgar; sister, Amanda (Tony) of Gallatin, MO; nephews, Logan (Kami) and son, Cael, of Edgar, and Luke (Carleigh) of Kearney; niece, Jocelyn of Manhattan, KS; and nephew, Jaxson of Springfield, MO.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward; and her great-niece, Cleo.

Wrenda will be remembered for her quiet spirit, her intelligence, and the way she expressed herself through her creativity. We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and resting in the presence of Jesus. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life for immediate family will take place at a later date.
