Former Sandy Creek girls basketball coach, and current Douglas County West girls coach Russ Ninemire, center, earned his state record setting 639th win in girls basketball, when his Falcons upended Logan View-Scribner-Snyder 54-48 Jan. 2. Of his 639 wins, 583 of them came at Sandy Creek, along with 10 state championships and a 95-game winning streak that ran from 1997-2000.
