6 Cardinals earn D6-3 district honors
The Harvard football team, in what many can call the toughest 6-Man football district in the state of Nebraska, has placed five players on the D6-3 All-District football team for their efforts during the 2023 season.

Josh Shaw is tabbed as 3rd team MIAA all-conference selection at Ft. Hays State
Josh Shaw, a 2022 graduate of Sandy Creek High School, and a Fairfield native was named as a third-team selection to the 2023 All-MIAA all-conference football team, as Shaw, and his Fort Hays State Tigers football team closed out the season with a 7-4 overall record, and a 6-4 conference record.

The Sandy Creek volleyball team added four more wins to their total from last year, as after going 6-24 a year ago, the Cougars wrapped up the 2023 season 10-20.

Fillies wrap up 2023 season with 20-13 record
The 2023 volleyball season for the Sutton Fillies came to a close in the C2-8 sub-district tournament with a tough three-set loss to Southern Nebraska Conference rival, Thayer Central, leaving the Fillies with a 20-13 record.

Clay County youth win 2nd Hastings Midget football championship, Oct. 22
On Sunday, Oct. 22, a mid-afternoon football championship was decided on the campus of Hastings College, and Lloyd Wilson Field. The defending champions, the Big G Jets, 6-0, versus the Hastings Pepsi Chargers, 5-1, with the Chargers lone loss coming at the hands of the Jets in the regular season.

Sutton splits with Jeffs, Scouts in SNC consolation quad, Oct. 17
Following a tough three-set loss to Milford in the opening- round of the Southern Nebraska Conference volleyball tournament, the Sutton Fillies remained at home for a four-team consolation quadrangular that pitted the Fillies against David City and Fairbury, two teams that Sutton just went to battle with, Oct. 5, in Fairbury.
