Even though a mere three points sat between the Sutton Juniors and the Grand Island Tom Dinsdale Automotive teams in the second game of Monday’s double-header, GI didn’t stand a chance winning during Sutton’s season-ending games.

During the early game, Sutton began their run tally in the third inning, securing three runs, as GITD earned one of its own.

Another three runs for Sutton came in the fifth inning, giving the Mustangs a 6-1 lead, and with one more run under their belt in the sixth inning, Sutton finished the game 7-1.

For three hours on Thursday, July 23, little Harrison was in the limelight of Nebraska High School football, as the COVID-19 delayed 6-Man Shootout between all-stars from Nebraska and Wyoming, landed on the turf of Sioux County High School to battle it out for bragging rights in 2020.

Three Harvard seniors, David Reazola, Noah Okraska and Ryan Harms, highlighted their careers by stepping onto Warrior Field in Harrison, and the trio of Cardinals, led by their coach Scott Trimble, emerged as the victors in the shootout. Beating the Wyoming squad 52-25 gave the Nebraska standouts their first win in the summer shootout since 2017.

Nebraska jumped out of the gates early and often, as the red-clad guys from Nebraska led 24-0 after the first quarter, with Okraska and Reazola having a part in all three first-quarter scores.
