Dennis J. Boehler

Sutton resident Dennis James Boehler, 63, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, in Lawton, OK.

Funeral services were Monday, May 2, 2022, at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton with Pastor Michelle Reed officiating. Interment followed at the Sutton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated later.

Dennis was born on May 11, 1958, to Lawrence William and Rosalene (True) Boehler of Sutton. He spent his life in Sutton and received his education at Sutton Public Schools, graduating in 1976. On Aug. 21, 1992, he married Cynthia (Cindy) in his parent’s backyard in Sutton.

Dennis was always a hard worker and had various jobs throughout his life. When he was younger, he helped with his parents’ store and more. As he aged, Dennis worked primarily in construction. Eventually, he discovered truck driving and would travel all across the country. In his final days, Dennis would be employed with George Bros Trucking traveling across the United States.

In addition to raising one son, William; Dennis was a dedicated member of the Sutton Volunteer Fire Department from 1980 until the time of his death. In his free time, Dennis enjoyed collecting various memorabilia that he would frequently find at auctions, flea markets, and more. Dennis was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Cindy; son, William; brother, Don Boehler; nieces and nephews: Dan Boehler; Kevin Boehler; Kourtney Boehler; aunts and uncles: Maynard (Marilyn) Boehler, Marcella Ochsner, Donelle Boehler, Lajean Boehler, as well as numerous other family members.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Rose Boehler; brother, Ron; uncles, Arnie and Ray Boehler, aunt, Leoma (Boehler) and her husband Joe Sisel.
