Harvard resident Jane A. Lockling, 59, entered into eternal rest Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at the Clay Center Christian Church in Clay Center, with Pastor Arick Johanson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery near Trumbull. Visitation with the family present will be Friday, from 4 p.m –7 p.m., at the Clay Center Christian Church in Clay Center. Jane was born Oct. 27, 1962, in Guthrie Center, IA to Thurlow and Donna (McCurdy) Foresman. She received her education at Guthrie Center High School. On Nov. 1, 1980, she married Ken Lockling. To this union, five daughters were born.

Jane worked for many years at the Harvard Rest Haven. Over the years, she enjoyed working in the kitchen, activities, as a med aide and CNA, as well as transportation. She also worked as an Activities Director at the Homestead in Hastings. Jane found joy in fashion, decorating her home, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved watching Nebraska football, the Andy Griffith Show and the Wheel of fortune. She supported her children and grandchildren’s various ventures as well as her husband’s construction and honeybee companies, spending her last three winters in Bakersfield CA, helping Ken with his raising of queen bees.

Jane was an active member of the Clay Center Christian Church, where she served on the worship team, taught Sunday School, helped with VBS and many other selfless services over the years.

She is survived by her husband, Ken, of 42 years; daughters: April (Justin) Billingsley, their children Angelina and Vincent; Kristi (Shawn) Diffendaffer, their children Luke, Bo, and Vance; Amanda (Chris) Heim, their children McCoy, Chase, and Chloe; Tammy (Derek) Ostermann, and their children Noah and Emma. Janae (Jesiah) Rasmussen; beloved puppy, Kennedy; one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Billingsley; brother, Mark Foresman, and sisters, Kimberly Knueven and Lisa Scovill; aunts, Loretta (Ben) Sloss, Georgia (Jack) Davis; uncle, Gary (Virginia) McCurdy, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurlow and Donna Foresman, grandparents and many other uncles and aunts.
