Cameron Blue Gray

Cameron Blue Gray, the son of James and Irene (Rogge) Gray, was born Feb. 4, 1985, in Hastings. He passed away on Oct. 19, 2022, near Hanover, KS at the age of 37 years, 8 months, 15 days. Cameron attended several schools in various states, graduating from Clay Center High School in. He furthered his education at Midland College, York Community College, Central Community College and Beatrice Community College, earning an LPN degree June 8, 2018. He was employed as a traveling LPN which sent him all over the country. His travels included Nebraska, Kansas, Florida, and Colorado where he truly loved the mountains and mountain lakes. He loved his dogs, Tucker, Kona, McGee, Elvis, and Sug’. In his spare time, he enjoyed working out at the YMCA, photography, and playing basketball, football, golf, track and field, and wrestling. He was a huge sports fan and was learning to become a hunter. Blue also helped create the “bluebone” custom apparel and clothing line.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Alice Rogge, Leonard and Donna Wilhelms; brother Matthew T. Gray, the death of his brother was very personal to Blue and he chose the nursing field to help others; and uncles Randy, Bobby and Thom Wilhelms.

Survivors include his parents Jim Gray and Irene Rogge; brothers, Terence (Angelique) Miller and Tycen Miller, all of Hastings; nephew, Stephen Miller of Omaha, along with other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, with Pastor Arick Johanson officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m., with the family present from 5-7.

Pallbearers are Cole Malone, Matt Vap, Terence Miller, Jim Curfman, John Hamilton, Tycen Miller, Toby Mohler. Honorary Pallbearer is Stephen Miller.

Interment will be in the Clay Center Cemetery at Clay Center.
