Sutton resident Ronald Eugene Reutzel, 77, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Federated Church in Sutton, with Rev. Mary Scott officiating. A luncheon will follow the services at the Church. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Firth Cemetery in Firth. A book signing with the family present will be Friday, March 24, 2023, from 5 p.m. –7 p.m., at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Federated Church in Sutton. Condolences may be left at www. suttonmemorial.com Ronald Eugene Reutzel was born Dec. 11, 1945, in Sutton to Roy and Irene (Witherbee) Reutzel. He received his B.A. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and was employed by Lincoln Electric System. He also served as an Assistant Scoutmaster, Hunter Education Teacher, a member of the PTA at Raymond Central HS, and Coach for the Trap Shooting Team at Lincoln High.

Ron was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, and was active in his community and the Federated Church of Sutton.

He is survived by his daughter, Theresa; sons, Shane (Katie) and Chad (Xamara); grandchildren, Tristan, Alyssa, Jaedyn, Chase, and Ethan; brother, Robert (Evelyn) Reutzel; and his beloved dog, Tess.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Irene; and brother, Glen.
