Hastings resident June E. Doyen, 70, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Broken Bow Care and Rehabilitation Center, Broken Bow.

Services were 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain Monica Harvey officiating. Burial was 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell.

Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation was Monday 5-8 p.m. with family present 5-6 p.m., and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

June was born July 6, 1948, in Hastings, to Ralph and Grace (Moorhead) Jester. She graduated from Fairfield High School and attended Grand Island Business School. June married James Doyen on July 12, 1969. She worked in food service, retail and crafts. She was greatly involved in functions for veterans.

June was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, James Wayne Doyen, Jr. SURVIVORS: Husband: James Doyen of Hastings. Daughters and spouses: Jolene and Scott Denman of Hastings; Jodi and Jason Weber of Wood River.

Sons and spouse: Jeremy Doyen and fiancée Julie Ockinga of Glenvil; Justin and Tami Johnson of Cedar Rapids, IA.

Grandchildren: Jeffrey Weber, Austin Weber, Brodie Denman, Adellin Doyen, Keevan Denman, Hannah Johnson, Wesley Johnson.

Brother and spouse: Fred and Marlys Jester of Clay Center. 

Sisters: Ramona Fate of Ft. Smith, AR; Betty Goff – Bentenville, AR.

 Numerous nieces and nephews.
