Students are all hustle and bustle by 7 p.m., as they finish hair and make-up. Clouds of hairspray dangle in the air as girls’ have their hair poofed and pinned as high as the ceiling—or so it seems. The boys’ hair is plastered on and swept to one side of their head with thick gel—making sure not one piece is planning on moving. The students are bathed in brightlycolored costumes, complete with suspenders, knee-high dress, tights and shimmering material. Although their eyes show flicks of nervousness, they appear ready to put on a show they’ve worked hard on for so long.
