Harvard resident Ardyce Jeanne Rader Barnett, 81, entered paradise Friday, March 27, 2015, at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard. Memorial services will be Friday, April 10, 2015, 2 p.m., at the Harvard United Methodist Church, with Pastor Travis King officiating. Private family burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no viewing or visitation, as Ardyce’s wishes were to be cremated. Memorials may be given to Harvard United Methodist Church or Harvard Rest Haven. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family. Ardyce was born April 19, 1933, to Glenn and Lila (Swanson) Rader at Hastings. She was raised in Trumbull and graduated from Trumbull High School. She married Bill Barnett in 1952, and to this union four children were born. In 1961, she moved to Harvard, where she made her home until her death. She was a homemaker and worked at Harvard Rest Haven as the activities director. Ardyce was a member of Harvard United Methodist Church and was very active in church activities, including bible study, Methodist Women and past Sunday School Teacher. She also served on the Nursing Home Board. She was a past member of the Manor Board, P.E.O and 4-H leader. In Ardyce’s own words “My children, grandchildren and their spouses and greatgrandchildren are such a joy and blessing to me.
