SC Boys, Herndon advance to state golf

Senior Garrett Fisher, shown above ,and Sutton’s Harrison Herndon will vie for state golf hardware next week in action in the Class D state meet in North Platte for the Cougars, and the Class C state meet in Columbus for Sutton. Fisher shot an 89 to finish third in the Cougars’ lineup during the D-1 District meet Monday, May 15, at the Indianhead Golf Course in Grand Island. For the Mustangs, Herndon carded an 18-hole 80 to place ninth and advance to state during the C-4 District meet, also at Indianhead on Tuesday,
May 16.
