The Sandy Creek Cougars earned their first Southern Nebraska Conference tournament championship since 2002 with a 33-28 win over Centennial Saturday night, Feb. 3. With the win, Sandy Creek improved to 15-4. Members on the gold medal-winning team include in front, from the left: Oliver Brannund, Evan Swartzendruber, Christian Shaw, and Ben Sullivan.
