The memorial services celebrating the life of Gregory D. Thomas, D.D.S., F.A.G.D., 71, of Enid, was held 10 a.m., Friday, April 6, in the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Susan Southall officiating. Complete care cremation and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. He was born Jan. 20, 1947, to Dale and Berneda (Babe) Thomas in Hastings, and passed from this life on March 31, 2018, in Enid, OK. He was raised and educated in Clay Center, where he was an all-state athlete in football and baseball. He was an Eagle Scout and a Boys State candidate in 1962. He attended the University of Nebraska and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and ROTC program, graduating in 1969.

Sutton resident, Carolyn “Connie” Dee Woller, 98, passed away Friday, April 6, at the Sutton Community Home in Sutton. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, at the Federated Church in Sutton with Rev. Mary Scott officiating. Interment followed at the Sutton Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Paul Woller Scholarship Fund at Sutton High School or the Sutton Community Home. Condolences may be left at www.suttonmemorial.com Connie was born in Hastings, and died 98 years later in Sutton NE, 30 miles away from her birth site. Although this seems like a short trip, Connie, with her husband Paul, traveled worldwide, with trips to Europe and all of the lower 48 states on their epic road trips. Her parents were Jesse M. Marsh of Missouri and Laura Holland, also from Missouri. Connie‘s stepmother was Erma Marsh.

Dale Mosley of Superior, the son, of Roy and Bertha (Boyer) Mosley was born June 3, 1931 at Ong. He departed this life on Monday, April 2, at the Blue Valley Care Home in Hebron, at the age of 86. Dale grew up in the Ong, graduating from Ong High School. Dale was united in marriage to Sharon Risor in February of 1951. This union was blessed with the birth of two children, a son, and a daughter. This marriage ended in divorce. Dale had served his country with the United State Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on May 11, 1952. Dale had many different careers throughout his life time, including Custom Wheat Harvesting with his father Roy, Dale had been a truck driver for a few years and had owned and operated a Toro/Snapper Lawn Mower business in Broomfield, CO.

Geraldine “Gerry” Scheierman Ackermann was born April 23, 1921, to John and Selma Pope Scheierman in Shickley. Gerry passed away on Wednesday, April 4, at the Fillmore County Hospital. Gerry was just a few weeks shy of celebrating her 97th birthday. Gerry graduated from Shickley High School in the class of 1938. Gerry met Armin Ackermann during the war years. Gerry traveled with Armin’s family to where he was stationed in Texas to be married. They were married on Sept. 14, 1942, she was a war bride. After the wedding the family visited the zoo and Gerry’s hat blew off into the bear enclosure. Gerry would be by Armin’s side every time he received new orders. She would follow him to the new base, find them a place to live and make it their new home.
