MABEL SIMONEAU

Mabel Simoneau, the daughter of Benjamin and Marjorie (Rosecrans) Disney, was born Dec. 24, 1930, at Adams, NE. She departed this life on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at the Superior Good Samaritan Center in Superior, NE, at the age of 84 years. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Norman, Lyle and William. Survivors include her husband, Ron Simoneau of Superior, NE; daughters: Barbara Johnson of Tucson, AZ; Sue Hofstetter and husband, Dennis, of Edgar, NE; Marjorie Mccandles of Fairbury, NE; son, Ray Burris and wife, Debra, of Waynesville, MO; sister, Arlene Smith of DeWitt, NE; brothers: Othal "Bud" Disney of Golden, CO; Ron Disney of Grand Island, NE; LeRoy Disney of Alexanderia, NE; and Donald Disney of Carleton, NE; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services were held this Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., Aug. 11, 2015, at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Superior. Father Brad Zitek officiated.

Clay Center resident, Maureen Celia Kuehler, 71,passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at her home.  A celebrationt o r emember her life will be 3 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Clay Center, NE, with Eldon Shetler officiating. She was a loving wife,  mother, and grandmother. She was a 1979 graduate ofPanhandle State University in Goodwell, OK. She was  an active member of Mrs.CC’s, Women’s  ,  Commun i t y Playhouse and a local bridge club. Maureen  ,  photography and knitting. shealso loved finding the “deal of the century” through garage sales and auctions.

Mary ’ s Catholic Church in Sutton, NE, and a Memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sutton, NE, with Father William Holoubek officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Sutton, NE. No visitation, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial countributions mayby directed for the family’s later  esignation.Jim was born Sept 14, 1949, to Francis J. and Arlis R. (Serr) Rolfes in Hastings, NE. He received his early education at Sutton Public Schools and graduated from Sutton High chool in 1967. He attended Colorado State University and graduated from Kearney State College with a degree in business administration. He was a tavern and steakhouse owner, fisherman, hunter, golfer an david outdoorsman.

LARRY J. HULTINE

Larry John Hultine, 72,passed away Monday, July  20, 2015, at the Harvard RestHaven in Harvard, NE.Graveside services were 10  a.m., Monday, July 27, 2015, at the Saron Lutheran Cemetery near Saronville, NE, with Rev. Judy Nuss officiating. Larry was born on May 10, 1943, in Omaha, NE, to parents Cleo and K. Jean (Dustin) Hultine, Grey Gables Stock Farm, Saronville, NE. He was a longtime resident of Harvard Rest Haven and truly enjoyed all Rest Haven staff and friends. He had a very kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and K. Jean Hultine. He is survived by his brother, J. Dustin Hultine; nieces, Alexis and Hannah Hultine; and grand-niece, Alia Jean Abe- Hultine; J. Dustin and Alexis Hultine’s spouses, respectively Jackie Hultine and Hiroki Abe; and all family members of Larry continue to live in or near Portland, OR.

LYNNE D. HOWARD

lynne  dee howard (Koontz), 69, of Edgar, NE, passed away in the evening on July 17, 2015, at her home in Gilroy, CA withher family by her side. She wasbron on Jan. 7, 1946, inhasting, NE, to Bob and Betty (Kollman) Koontz and was their only child. Lynne grew up on her family’s farm in Edgar, NE, where she enjoyed riding her horse to school, playing with friends and helping her father in the fields. She went to Edgar High School, where she participated in cheerleading and graduated in 1964. After high school, she attended the University of Denver in Denver, CO,where she received her first  degree in speech therapy. She returned to school and received her second degree in nursing in 1992 from Colby Sawyer College in New London, NH. Lynne was married for 29 years and had three children, who she loved dearly. The family moved from state to state, eventually living in over ten states across the country.

Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Church, with Father William Holoubek officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Sutton, NE. Visitation was Sunday, July 26, 2015, from 1–8 p.m., and Monday, July 27, 2015, from 1–4 p.m., at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, NE. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.suttonmemorial.com. Matthew was born August  2, 1973, in Omaha, NE, to Gregory and Linda (Chandler) Hansen. He received his education in Millard, NE, and graduated from Millard South High School in 1992.  e was employed with Janke Plumbing as a journeyman  plumber for over 20 years. He loved country music and was an avid sportsman.
