I hope everyone is staying warm with all these freezing temperatures. Either everyone is staying indoors or "dreaming" like I do, of being able to go south for the winter. Jason and Brenda Searle and family of Edgar spent Christmas with his parents, Mary Ann and Ed Searle. Tina and Martin Besmer and family of Kansas and Tami and Dustin Verhage were Christmas visitors of BJ and Dennis Reddick.
The few glimpses of the sun were welcomed, but now we’re back to cloudy and snow. I’m not looking forward to singledigit degrees on the thermometer, but glad I have a warm house to stay in during bad weather. Shirley Nelson and DonnaMcCartney attended the Christmas cantata at the Harvard United Methodist Church on the afternoon of Dec. 21.
The past week, our community was able to show its true colors during the Holiday Season. The Giving Treewrapping and delivery was on Wednesday. On Friday, many gave the gift of life by donating blood at the Clay Center Bloodmobile. Many things are needed more during the holidays, thesecaring gifts are no exception.
