At the start of the 1900s, M.M. Johnson was coming up with a new name for his incubator business, eventually settling on Old Trusty, after his dog.
His business shot up in sales, and by the 1920s, over one million incubators had been built and sold.
Of those millions of incubators made, one now sits in the Clay County Mutual Insurance office, neatly placed in the east side of the building, adorning the infamous Old Trusty logo on the front.
L. Wayne Johnson, owner of Clay County Mutual, said he first saw the incubator at an agents office in Spalding. After some negotiating, Johnson purchased the incubator for $150, and has owned it for the past 15 years.
