Harvard resident, Christina J. Hill, 91, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 15, at the Harvard Rest Haven in Harvard. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church in Clay Center with Rev. Rob Garton officiating. Interment followed at the Clay Center Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, from 1–8 p.m., at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Clay Center. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated later. Condolences may be left at www.mclaughlinchapel.com. Christina J. Hill was born April 19, 1926, in Hildreth to Jacob “Jake” and Tillie (De-Jonge) Rewerts. On Sept. 16, 1947, she married Clifford W. Hill in Franklin. She was employed as a homemaker, daycare provider, at Crossroads Café and Twin Oaks Motel all in Clay Center. Christina enjoyed being a grandma for 49 years. Grandchildren made her most proud and she always looked forward to their visits.
