Harvard track teams continue to improve

Article Image Alt Text

BY JORDYN HULINSKY

The Harvard girls’ track team grabbed nine medals at the Heartland track meet Tuesday, April 10; the boys’ grabbed six medals. The girls’ team finished sixth and the boys’ team was eighth.

“Losing two of our first four meets has set us back some,” Head Coach Scott Trimble said. “Several younger athletes really needed those meets to learn their events better and adjust to high school level competition. Overall, we have started off with some strong performances and several good marks to work off of. We have some really good opportunities to get several athletes prepared for a shot at going to the state track meet and I expected those kids to work hard and give themselves the best chance they can. I’m really looking forward to seeing how much we can improve.”
