Article Image Alt Text

Firefighters and EMTs from Harvard, as well as the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, responded to a rollover accident a quarter of a mile west of Highway 14, along Road 320. Here, members of the Harvard Department check on the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.

A single-vehicle accident Friday, Jan. 30, resulted in one person being transferred to the Aurora Hospital.

Jennifer Capps, 36, of Harvard, was driving herself to have a physician look at her arm after she had fallen the night before, when she lost control of the vehicle and went into a ditch on county road 320 about two tenths of a mile west of Highway 14, Sheriff Jeff Franklin said.

Capps was driving a 2000 Buick, and was the only person in the vehicle when the accident occurred.

The Harvard EMT’s and Fire Department responded to the 9:30 a.m., call.

Brief information on the accident appeared in this week’s paper; however, more information became available Thursday, Feb. 5.
