Ever since a large gathering for a town hall meeting was held in Sutton in October 2018, the Sutton Community Home and the Sutton Community Home Foundation have been hard at work coming up with a feasible and financially viable plan and upgrade to the Sutton Community Home and the Hillcrest View Assisted Living facilities in Sutton.

That hard work and dedication to keep the Sutton home a strong and lasting part of the community has come to life with the announcement last week of a new three-tier assisted living facility. This will be the eventual home of the 32-unit facility at its current location, 1106 N. Saunders Ave.

As many of you read in our last edition, the proposed facility will not include a skilled nursing care center, which has been the financial drain of the facility for the better part of three to four years now.

Knowing when enough is enough

By Ashley D. Swanson

There are some people in this world, myself included, who think they can do everything for everyone and be some sort of superman/woman without any consequences.

What these people (most of the time) don’t realize is that constantly being on the move and never taking time to just be still and not worry about how they can fix other people’s problems or never say “no” to favors is actually hurting them.
